# macOS

## Requirements

Stardrop requires the following software to be installed

* [Stardew Valley](https://www.stardewvalley.net/)
* [SMAPI (Stardew Modding API)](https://smapi.io/)

## Instructions

1. Download the latest release from [Nexus](https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/10455?tab=files) or directly from the [GitHub repository](https://github.com/Floogen/Stardrop/releases/latest).
2. Extract the compressed zip file to your Applications folder.
3. Run **Stardrop** to start the application.
   * You may need to go to `System Preferences` > `Security & Privacy` > `General` > `Allow apps downloaded from` and click `Open Anyway`.
4. The path to `StardewModdingAPI` will need to be given in order to use Stardrop. 
   * This can be done by going to `View` > `Settings` and clicking the folder icon under SMAPI Path.
