# Detecting Hidden Mods

SMAPI ignores any mods that have a parent folder that start with the period character (such as "**.Test Folder**").

Stardrop replicates this behavior by default, however this can be changed so that all mods can be detected. To detect all mods, simply uncheck the **Ignore Hidden Folders** option found under `View` > `Settings`.
